FAQs
Do I need a big brake kit or just pads & rotors?
Pads/rotors are a solid upgrade for most touring setups. If you tow heavy, run big tyres or have increased GVM, a big brake kit adds rotor area and caliper clamping for better heat control and shorter stops.
Will upgraded brakes be noisy or dusty?
Modern Bendix compounds balance bite with low noise and dust. Correct bed-in and fresh hardware go a long way to keeping things quiet.
How long does installation take?
Pad/rotor kits: ~2–3 hours per axle. Big brake kits: ~4–6 hours including bleeding, runout checks and road test. Times vary by vehicle.
Do I need braided lines and fluid?
Highly recommended with any performance upgrade. Braided lines improve pedal feel; fresh DOT 4/4 LV fluid raises boiling point and protects ABS/ESC hardware.
Will this affect warranty or insurance?
We use quality, vehicle-appropriate components and follow manufacturer procedures. Advise your insurer of modifications; we can supply a detailed invoice and parts list.
